Registration, Hotel & Travel

In order to attend the Kickoff meetings, please register to reserve a conference badge and/or hotel reservation by the deadline. Review the information provided below prior to beginning the registration process.

Step 1:

Make your air travel arrangements. You are responsible for booking your own flights to San Diego through Mitchell’s corporate travel provider for US and Canada. It is recommended that you book your air travel prior to booking your hotel reservations.

Step 2:

Register for the meeting and request a hotel room. Please register by Friday, January 4, 2019.


Before making your hotel and travel arrangements, please double check for your pre-approved arrival and departure times. If you are unsure about your approved arrival and departure dates, please consult your manager.

Recommended arrival times are as follows:

SLC—The SLC will be held in two sessions. The first session will be held on Monday, January 21st at Green Acre Campus Pointe from 12:00 pm–6:00 pm. The second session will be held at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa on Thursday, January 24th from 12:00 pm–6:30 pm. All remote attendees should arrive Monday, January 21st by 12:00 pm. San Diego-based employees should plan to drive to the meetings. The meeting will be complete by 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Sales & Service Sessions—The meeting will kick off the evening of Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with an optional welcome dinner for out of town attendees. Due to budget constraints, this dinner reception is for out of town attendees with hotel reservations only. All out of town attendees should plan to arrive no later than the evening of Tuesday, January 22nd in order to attend the official Kickoff General Session on Wednesday morning. San Diego-based employees should plan to drive to the meeting on Wednesday, January 23rd for the 9:00 am start time. All attendees should plan to depart the afternoon of Thursday, January 24th. Sessions will end no later than 12:00 pm.

IMO Summit #2—The IMO Summit #2 is from 8:00 am–6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Westin Carlsbad Resort and Spa. All out of town attendees should plan to arrive the evening of Monday, January 21.

Ground Transportation & Parking

The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa is located approximately 34 miles (45 minutes) from the San Diego International Airport (SAN). If you need a taxi, follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas. A Transportation Coordinator will place you with the first available taxi—unless you specify a particular taxicab company. Additionally, ridesharing options including Lyft and Uber are available for airport pick-ups and drop-offs as well.

Complimentary self-parking at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa is available. Daytime attendees who plan to drive to the meeting should allow themselves additional time to ensure an on time arrival for all sessions. Valet Parking expenses will not be reimbursed.
